This season we have partnered with artist Marion Griese for two of our modern Batik Prints, the Momentum Print. Griese is a Canadian artist from the Niagara region whose vibrant and colourful abstract paintings are intuitive responses to the beauty she finds in both natural and urban environments. She extracts elements from what she observes, reimagining them into simplified shapes and colours to form harmonious and expressive compositions. Sustainable and ethical, these artisanal handcrafted pieces incorporate our love of art and support traditional techniques empowering local artisans, preserving cultural heritage.

Our Cotton Gauze fabric is made of soft 100% natural cotton fibers that make it breathable, hypoallergenic and light-weight. It is woven using a special technique that involves twisting horizontal warp threads around the vertical weft threads, resulting in a soft, crinkled, and loosely-woven texture with a slight vertical stretch and now we introduce it with a perfect new pin stripe. We focus on having minimal environmental impact by carefully selecting materials like this Cotton Gauze, as it is a wonderful long-lasting material and local to our artisan maker’s.
